Labpro Scientific's NEW 96 well electrophoresis agarose gel system was developed specifically for multiple-sample/high-throughput analysis. The design of the system and analytical combs is based on the fixed spacing of multichannel pipettes used to transfer samples from microplates. Twenty four nucleic acid samples, plus two DNA size standards, can be run in one row using the 26 -well comb. If four combs are used, all 96 samples from a microplate can be electrophoresed simultaneously on one gel. The shorter gel length (10 and 15 cm) and 26-well comb also allow the 96 well gel tank to be used as the routine apparatus for the molecular biology laboratory. The 96 well gel system includes a buffer tank 25 x 25cm UVTP gel casting tray, 4 x 26 well combs, 4 x comb holders and safety lid with cables
